Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Irfan firmly believes that the national team are capable of winning the World Cup in England and Wales later this year.
Irfan’s comments come after Pakistan were whitewashed 5-0 in their ODI series against Australia in the United Arab Emirates.
However, the men in green did triumph in the Champions Trophy, which was held in England in 2017.
In addition, Irfan feels that Pakistan have talented players in the batting, bowling and fielding departments, which will aid their quest to taste World Cup glory for the first time since 1992.
“Pakistan’s ODI team has played well in recent times,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “They have a good chance of winning the World Cup if they continue to perform well in all three departments.”
