Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Irfan has revealed that he is aiming to make his international comeback at the World Cup in England and Wales next month.

Irfan featured for the Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and took five wickets in nine matches at an average of 41.80.

However, the 36-year-old has not represented Pakistan since September 2016.

“I have been performing well for a long time now and I am confident of making a comeback into the national team through my performance for Balochistan in the Pakistan Cup,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “My job is to perform to the best of my abilities on the ground. As far as selection is concerned, the decision has to be made by the selection committee.”
