The ministerial ban on Cricket South Africa has been lifted after the board met the government’s transformation requirements.

Cricket South Africa were made to field a minimum average of six players of colour, including two black Africans, across the period of an entire season.

With those requirements having been met, Cricket South Africa have now regained the power to bid for and host major tournaments.

However, South Africa are not scheduled to host any International Cricket Council (ICC) events for the next six years.
