India opening batsman Virender Sehwag will auction his sweater and donate blankets to help underprivileged people who are suffering as a result of the cold weather in the country.

Sehwag has teamed up with radio station 92.7 BIG FM and Goonj, who are a non-governmental organization (NGO), for theĀ fourth edition of ‘Daryadili’.

“We look after people in our own house, but not those who are on the road…So, I thought I should get involved in such an initiative,” he said. “On behalf of my Sehwag International School, we will give at least 100 blankets and do as much as we can.”

Speaking about the auction, Sehwag said: “The auction is not for money. The one who gives maximum number of clothes will get the sweater.”
