England spinner James Tredwell has signed a contract extension with Kent, which will keep him with the club beyond the 2015 county season.
Tredwell’s contract was supposed to expire next summer, but he decided to sign a contract extension in order to remain in Canterbury.
“I am delighted to secure my future here at Kent,” he said. “It was great to return after my time away with Sussex this year.
“The future at Kent looks really exciting with lots of home-grown players coming through and I hope to play a part in success going forward.”
Speaking about the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, where England will play seven ODIs, Tredwell said: “The first step is to be on the plane to Sri Lanka and press your claim for a place in the team before the World Cup. I’ll take it one series at a time and you have to take the chance to show what you can do.”
