India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced that he will be skipping the first three ODIs against Sri Lanka in order to get some much-needed rest.

As a result of this, Virat Kohli has been named captain, while Wriddhiman Saha will take over the wicketkeeping duties.

It has also been announced that pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be rested and that fellow seamer Varun Aaron has been called up as his replacement.

After being rested for the ODI series against the West Indies, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has returned to the ODI squad.
