New Zealand pace bowler Tim Southee has been declared fit for the ongoing ODI series against South Africa after missing a warm-up game due to a shoulder injury.

It has also been revealed that the Blackcaps have called up the batting duo of Dean Brownlie and Tom Latham, who have not represented New Zealand in ODIs since July 2012 and last year respectively.

“Tom had a very good tour to the West Indies with the Test team and also impressed in the warm-up match in Lincoln, while Dean was in strong form on the recent NZ A tour to the UK,” New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson said.
