Afghanistan have appointed former New Zealand head coach Andy Moles as their new batting coach in order to prepare for the 2015 World Cup.

Moles, who is set to arrive in Kabul later this week, has also held coaching positions with Kenya and Scotland.

“We are pleased to have the services of Andy Moles in our batting preparations for the World Cup,” Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) CEO, Noor Mohammad Murad, said. “He has broad experience in international cricket both as a player and a coach and he will bring the benefits of this experience to our national players.”
