“I’m determined to help regain the Ashes in 2015”
England batsman Kevin Pietersen has announced that he is keen on playing the next Ashes series in England in 2015 after the national team were whitewashed 5-0 by Australia.
Pietersen has often said that he wants to score 10,000 Test runs, but his chances of accomplishing that are becoming slimmer and slimmer, especially after he was only able to amass 294 runs at an average of 29.40 in the recently concluded Ashes series.
“Very disappointed to lose 5-0, and not to score more runs personally,” Pietersen said via Twitter. “Tough tour against a top class team.
“I want to thank all the England fans for their terrific support. And I’m determined to help regain the Ashes in 2015.”
