Saeed Ajmal: “We should give a chance to Sufyan Moqim, who can dismiss the middle order batsmen. If other bowlers are being played, then why not Sufyan Moqim. He should be prepared for ODIs also”

Iconic Pakistan spinner Saeed Ajmal believes left-arm spinner Sufyan Moqim should be prepared for ODIs and given more chances.
So far, Moqim has featured in four ODIs and taken eight wickets at an average of 22.75.
He has also taken part in 22 T20Is and claimed 30 wickets at an average of 16.40.
The 24-year-old has been utilised sporadically as of late, even though he has been a force to be reckoned with in T20 cricket this year.
“We should give a chance to Sufyan Moqim, who can dismiss the middle order batsmen. If other bowlers are being played, then why not Sufyan Moqim. He should be prepared for ODIs also,” Ajmal told PakPassion.
Moqim was recently involved in Pakistan’s T20I series against Sri Lanka, but went wicketless in the one match he played.
He was also picked for the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England, but wasn’t included in the playing XI for any of the games.
Pakistan’s next assignment is a two-Test series against Sri Lanka, which will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 9 to 21.
Pakistan will add two pacers to their side before the series begins.
