Veteran cricketer Azeem Ghumman said he is praying that up-and-coming batsman Sameer Minhas will be unstoppable at the international level.
Minhas earned his maiden call-up for Pakistan’s forthcoming Test series against Sri Lanka.
Just recently, the 19-year-old had been playing first-class cricket, making 405 runs in seven President’s Trophy Grade-I matches for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, which included three fifties, at an average of 40.50.
“I personally think, I really hope and pray… he’s going to be unstoppable,” Ghumman told PakPassion.
Minhas wasn’t included in Pakistan’s team for their T20I series against Sri Lanka, which they won 2-1.
He was also overlooked for the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England, which the men in green won.
The two-Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from November 9 to 21.
Two pace bowlers will be added to the squad after a three-day warm-up match between PCB Patron’s and Sri Lanka from November 4 to 6.
