Pakistan batsman Babar Azam has confirmed that he is working on improving his power-hitting.
Azam has faced persistent criticism over his strike-rate, particularly in T20Is, where he has often been accused of taking too many deliveries to score his runs.
With modern-day cricket demanding batters score at a much quicker rate, the 32-year-old is making the necessary adjustments to his game.
“I am working on power-hitting, and it is paying off,” the Pakistan Test captain was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Azam is currently taking part in Pakistan’s ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England, and has gotten off to a solid start with 79 runs in two games at an average of 39.50.
