Pakistan Test batsman Saud Shakeel has vowed to show off a different version of himself in white-ball cricket.
Shakeel has not played an ODI since the 2025 Champions Trophy, while he has yet to make his T20I debut for the men in green.
A regular member of the Test side, the 31-year-old knows he must adapt his game if he is to revive his limited overs career and earn more opportunities.
“My target is to present a different Saud Shakeel in all white-ball cricket moving forward,” he told Geo News.
Shakeel recently featured in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England and amassed 204 runs, which included a top score of 97, at an average of 34.
He is now playing first-class cricket for Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy in the President’s Trophy Grade-I competition.
So far, he has made 422 runs in four matches, which includes two centuries and two fifties, at an average of 70.33.
Shakeel was not selected for Pakistan’s T20I series against Sri Lanka, which the men in green won 2-1, and also missed out on the ongoing ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England.
