Former New Zealand opener Martin Guptill has praised Pakistan batsman Sameer Minhas, describing him as a “class player”.
At just 19, Minhas has already shown immense potential and is widely regarded as one of Pakistan cricket’s most promising young talents.
With the teenager proving to be a rising star, Guptill acknowledged that he is a special talent.
“Sameer Minhas is a class player,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Saj Sadiq on X.
Minhas is currently representing Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the President’s Trophy Grade-I, a first-class competition in Pakistan.
He has scored 342 runs in six matches so far, including three fifties, at an average of 42.75.
However, Minhas was not picked for Pakistan’s T20I series against Sri Lanka, which the men in green won 2-1.
He also didn’t make the cut for the ongoing ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka and England.
