Former Pakistan cricketer Sohaib Maqsood has no doubt that teenage batter Sameer Minhas is a “future superstar” in the making.

Minhas has repeatedly showcased his potential, prompting Maqsood to describe him as an exciting and amazing talent destined for bigger things.

The 19-year-old has been very active on the domestic circuit this year as he featured in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he accumulated 349 runs in 11 matches for Islamabad United, which included three fifties, at an average of 38.77 and a strike-rate of 155.80.

“Sameer Minhas [is] such an exciting talent, so pleasing to watch. Amazing talent [and a] future superstar for sure,” Maqsood said on X.

Minhas is now in action in the President’s Trophy Grade-I, which is a domestic first-class tournament.

Representing Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, he struck 24 runs in their match against State Bank of Pakistan.

As for the team’s ongoing game against Ghani, he has made 53 and 96.
