Australia cricketer Steve Smith said Pakistan left-handed batsman Shan Masood possesses “immense power in his shots”.
Smith played alongside Masood for the Multan Sultans in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and thus got to see the 36-year-old in action throughout the tournament.
Masood had an outstanding campaign in PSL 11, amassing 367 runs in 11 matches, which included a top score of 69 not out, at an average of 45.87 and a strike-rate of 158.18.
“He has immense power in his shots,” Smith was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Masood was recently involved in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England and struck 161 runs, which included a top score of 95, at an average of 26.83.
The men in green ended up losing the series 3-0.
