Sameer Minhas: “My priority is to represent Pakistan in all three formats”

Up-and-coming Pakistan batsman Sameer Minhas has announced that his priority is to represent his country in all three formats.
Minhas, who is one of the brightest prospects in Pakistan cricket right now, has yet to make his international debut, but many think this will change very soon.
The 19-year-old was especially impressive in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he amassed 349 runs in 11 matches for Islamabad United, which included three fifties, at an average of 38.77 and a strike-rate of 155.80.
Even though he has yet to play any first-class cricket, the Multan native pointed out that he is interested in playing Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
“My priority is to represent Pakistan in all three formats,” Minhas was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
Minhas was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the recent two-Test series against the West Indies, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
He also wasn’t picked for the ongoing three-Test series against England, where the men in green are 2-0 down heading into the 3rd Test in Birmingham on September 9.
