Former Pakistan chief selector Mohammad Wasim believes Hasan Nawaz is the only modern batsman in the country right now.
Nawaz showed considerable promise when he first earned a call-up to the national side in 2025, smashing a magnificent 105 not out against New Zealand in his third T20I.
However, he cooled off significantly after that innings and was unable to maintain the consistency required to hold his place in the squad.
Wasim, though, feels the 23-year-old could be the answer for the men in green if they are in need of batsmen who can keep up with the demands of T20I cricket.
“Only Hasan Nawaz!” Wasim said on X.
Pakistan recently toured the West Indies for a two-Test series, which finished as a 1-1 draw.
They will now head to England to play three Tests from August 19 to September 13.
