Mohammad Amir: “I was the best bowler for Pakistan in the [2024 T20 World Cup] but after that no one contacted me. They said leave him”

Pakistan left-arm speedster Mohammad Amir has claimed that “no one contacted me” even though he was the best bowler for the men in green in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Amir came out of retirement to feature in the tournament and picked up seven wickets in four games at an average of 10.28 and an economy rate of 4.50.
Despite doing well in the T20 World Cup, the 34-year-old ended up retiring from international cricket once again in December 2024.
“I was the best bowler for Pakistan in the [2024 T20 World Cup] but after that no one contacted me. They said leave him,” Amir was quoted as saying on X.
Pakistan recently played a two-Test series against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, which concluded as a 1-1 draw.
Their next assignment will be a three-Test series against England from August 19 to September 13.
