Rashid Latif: “They will target Sahibzada Farhan now and make him the captain [in] ODIs and T20Is”

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif believes opener Sahibzada Farhan could become the new white-ball captain.
Currently, Shaheen Shah Afridi captains Pakistan in ODIs and Salman Ali Agha leads in T20Is.
Farhan has become a key member of the T20I team, having scored 1,305 runs in 46 matches, which includes two centuries and 10 fifties, at an average of 30.34 and a strike-rate of 136.64.
As for ODIs, the 30-year-old has accumulated 101 runs in six games at an average of 16.83.
Given the impact he has had as of late, especially in the shortest format, Latif reckons Farhan could replace both Afridi and Salman as limited overs skipper.
“They will target Sahibzada Farhan now and make him the captain [in] ODIs and T20Is,” he was quoted as saying by Khel Shel.
Farhan did not feature in Pakistan’s recent two-Test series against the West Indies, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
He also wasn’t picked for the upcoming tour of England, which will comprise three Tests to be held from August 19 to September 13.
