Shahid Afridi: “Looking at the current situation, I would go with Fakhar Zaman. I want an aggressive captain. Right now, only one player fits the bill, and that is Fakhar”

Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi wants Fakhar Zaman to become the country’s new T20I captain as he is the only player that “fits the bill”.
Salman Ali Agha currently leads the men in green in the shortest format, but there has been considerable speculation about his future as skipper.
Afridi previously suggested that Shadab Khan could be the right man for the job before changing his mind due to the spin-bowling all-rounder’s inconsistent performances.
With few other options available, the 46-year-old believes Zaman should be handed the leadership role.
“Looking at the current situation, I would go with Fakhar Zaman. I want an aggressive captain. Right now, only one player fits the bill, and that is Fakhar,” he told Samaa TV as quoted by NDTV.
Zaman was not selected for Pakistan’s ongoing two-Test series against the West Indies, where the men in green are trying to level the series in the 2nd Test in Trinidad and Tobago.
After their tour of the West Indies finishes, Pakistan will travel to England to play three Tests from August 19 to September 13.
