Salman Ali Agha: “Sahibzada has been outstanding. The way he’s been batting for us for the last six months, he’s just batting really well”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has been very happy with Sahibzada Farhan’s performances over the last six months, saying he the opening batsman has been outstanding.
Farhan has emerged as Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorer in the shortest format in recent months. At the 2026 T20 World Cup, he finished as the tournament’s leading run-getter, scoring 383 runs in seven matches, which included included two centuries and two fifties, at an average of 76.60 and a strike-rate of 160.25.
Next came the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where the 30-year-old was the joint fifth-highest run-scorer with 380 runs in 10 games for the Multan Sultans, which included a hundred and two half-centuries, at an average of 42.22 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Although Farhan was unable to carry his red-hot form into the three-match ODI series against Australia, where he managed just 37 runs at an average of 12.33, Salman remains highly impressed with the Charsadda native’s overall performances.
“Sahibzada has been outstanding. The way he’s been batting for us for the last six months, he’s just batting really well,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Pakistan are now playing a two-Test series against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, but trail 1-0 after losing the 1st Test by 90 runs.
After that, they will head to England for a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
