Ravi Bopara: “I think Usman Tariq. I think he can get into any international side because he’s different. He does something that nobody else in this world does”

Former England all-rounder Ravi Bopara believes Pakistan mystery spinner Usman Tariq “can get into any international side” since he “does something that nobody else in this world does”.
Tariq has become a household name due to his unorthodox bowling action and ability to take wickets consistently.
Just recently, he was in action for Warwickshire in the 2026 Vitality Blast and picked up 16 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 16 and an economy rate of 6.09.
“I think Usman Tariq. I think he can get into any international side because he’s different. He does something that nobody else in this world does,” Bopara said on the Beard Before Wicket podcast.
Tariq was not picked for Pakistan’s ongoing two-Test series against the West Indies, where they trail 1-0 after losing the 1st Test by 90 runs.
The 2nd Test will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from August 2 to 6.
Following this, Pakistan will travel to England for a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
