Ahmed Shehzad: “PCB did a big mistake by appointing Babar Azam as a captain. He was very good performer but did not have leadership qualities”

Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad believes the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made a “big mistake” by naming Babar Azam captain in the past as he doesn’t have any leadership qualities.
Azam was recently reappointed Test captain, replacing top order batsman Shan Masood.
Shehzad noted that the 31-year-old is a “good performer” but does not possess the attributes required to lead the national team.
“PCB did a big mistake by appointing Babar Azam as a captain. He was very good performer but did not have leadership qualities,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
Azam is currently leading the men in green in their two-Test series against the West Indies, which is taking place in Trinidad and Tobago.
Once that series ends, Pakistan will tour England for three Tests from August 19 to September 13.
