Tanvir Ahmed: “Nor is Salman Ali Agha himself a T20 player”

Former Pakistan fast bowler Tanvir Ahmed has lashed out at T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, saying he is not suited for the format.
At the 2026 T20 World Cup, Salman failed to have much of an impact as he was restricted to 60 runs in seven matches at an average of 10 and a strike-rate of 130.43.
It was a similar story during the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the 32-year-old mustered 112 runs in 10 games for the Karachi Kings at an average of 12.44 and a strike-rate of 119.14.
“Nor is Salman Ali Agha himself a T20 player,” Tanvir was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X.
Salman is currently representing Pakistan in their two-Test series against the West Indies, which is taking place in Trinidad and Tobago.
Following this, the men in green will go up against England in a three-Test series from August 19 to September 13.
