Ahmed Shehzad: “For Amir, getting Abhishek out might be a piece of cake”

Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad said it “might be a piece of cake” for left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir to get India opener Abhishek Sharma out.

His comments come after Amir felt that Abhishek was nothing more than a slogger who lacks technique.

While Shehzad acknowledged the 25-year-old’s contributions for India so far, he stressed that everyone is entitled to their opinion and suggested Amir may feel confident of dismissing Abhishek due to his aggressive style of play.

“For Amir, getting Abhishek out might be a piece of cake,” he was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Abhishek was recently involved in a T20I series against Ireland, where he made scores of 49 and 0.

As for the ongoing tour of England, he made 131 runs in five T20Is, which included a top score of 59, at an average of 26.20 and a strike-rate of 177.02.

The Pakistan team, meanwhile, is gearing up for a two-Test series against the West Indies, which will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from July 25 to August 6.

After that, they will travel to England for three Tests from August 19 to September 13.
