Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha believes young batting prospect Khawaja Nafay is good enough to represent the national team for a long time.

Nafay has featured in four T20Is to date and scored 54 runs at an average of 13.50 and a strike-rate of 154.28.

Most recently, he was in action for the Quetta Gladiators in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), but failed to have much of an impact as he was limited to 77 runs in eight matches at an average of 9.62 and a strike-rate of 124.19.

Despite his underwhelming campaign in PSL 11, Salman still sees something special in the 24-year-old.

“He has the potential to play for Pakistan for a long time,” he said on the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) podcast as quoted by Samaa TV.

Following PSL 11, Pakistan lost a two-Test series against Bangladesh 2-0 before bouncing back to defeat Australia 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.

The men in green will return to action soon as they are scheduled to take on the West Indies in a two-Test series in Trinidad and Tobago from July 25 to August 6.
