Pakistan batting prospect Sameer Minhas has vowed to keep playing fearless cricket, whereby he attacks anything that is in his scoring zone.

He noted that fearless cricket to him is not solely about hitting the ball, but rather about “maximising my scoring opportunities”.

The 19-year-old is one of the rising stars of Pakistan cricket and showcased his incredible talent during the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he accumulated 349 runs in 11 matches for Islamabad United, which included three fifties, at an average of 38.77 and a strike-rate of 155.80.

“Some people consider fearless cricket to be ‘hit, hit, hit’, but for me it is about maximising my scoring opportunities. If a ball is in my zone, regardless if it is first or last, I will attack it and make the most of it,” he was quoted as saying on X.

Pakistan recently took on Bangladesh in a two-Test series, which they lost 2-0, but Minhas was not part of the squad.

He also hasn’t been picked for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4.
