Pakistan seamer Haris Rauf has admitted that bowling in the death overs is not easy, as batters are always looking to attack.
Rauf is one of Pakistan’s go-to fast bowlers in white-ball cricket and has developed a reputation for taking wickets in the closing stages of an innings.
Recently, he took part in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and performed well for the Lahore Qalandars, claiming 12 wickets in nine matches at an average of 24.08 and an economy rate of 9.79.
“Whenever I played for Pakistan, I always gave 100%. Bowling in the death overs is not easy,” the 32-year-old was quoted as saying by A Sports.
The men in green recently toured Bangladesh for a two-Test series, where they were whitewashed 2-0. Rauf was not part of the squad, with his only Test appearance to date coming in December 2022.
He has, however, been selected for Pakistan’s upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, scheduled to be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4.
