Former Pakistan speedster Tanvir Ahmed admitted he is surprised spinner Sufyan Moqim has simply disappeared from the national team.
Moqim was once a regular feature in Pakistan’s T20I side, claiming 27 wickets in 19 matches, including a five-wicket haul, at an average of 14.74 and an economy rate of 6.28.
The 24-year-old has also played four ODIs, taking eight wickets at an average of 22.75.
Tanvir was particularly impressed with his performance in the Asia Cup Rising Stars, where he was the second-highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets in four matches for the Pakistan Shaheens at an average of 5.90 and an economy rate of 4.21.

Moqim continued to remain in red-hot form in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he was the highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets in 11 matches for the Peshawar Zalmi at an average of 14.40 and an economy rate of 7.20.
Pakistan recently concluded a two-Test tour of Bangladesh, which they lost 2-0.
They will be back in action soon as they are scheduled to take on Australia in a three-match ODI series in Rawalpindi and Lahore from May 30 to June 4.
