Pakistan power-hitter Usman Khan has revealed that he has been dedicating significant time to improving his fitness and wicketkeeping.

Usman has recently been entrusted with the gloves more regularly, particularly in T20Is.

However, the 31-year-old acknowledged that continued improvement across all aspects of his game depends on the work he puts in off the field.

“I have given a lot of time to fitness and my wicketkeeping. I have been regularly playing domestic cricket too,” he told ESPNcricinfo.

Usman recently took part in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he finished as the fourth-highest run-scorer with 389 runs in 13 matches for the Hyderabad Kingsmen, which included a century and three fifties, at an average of 35.36 and a strike-rate of 162.76.

Pakistan are now involved in a two-Test series against Bangladesh, but Usman was not named in the squad that was selected.

The men in green lost the 1st Test in Mirpur by 104 runs and are now looking to bounce back in the ongoing 2nd Test in Sylhet.
