Salman Ali Agha: “I want to be consistent, and I want to win matches for Pakistan”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has expressed his desire to become a consistent run-scorer so that he can help his team win matches.
Salman has become one of Pakistan’s go-to middle order batsmen across all three formats and recently featured in the T20I World Cup, where he fell well short of expectations after amassing 60 runs in seven matches at an average of 10 and a strike-rate of 130.43.
He had a much better showing in Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, making 175 runs, which included a century and a fifty, at an average of 58.33.
However, the 32-year-old was unable to maintain that momentum in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he was restricted to 112 runs in 10 games for the Karachi Kings at an average of 12.44 and a strike-rate of 119.14.
Given his inconsistent performances over the past few months, Salman acknowledged that he needs to score runs on a regular basis if he is to achieve his goal of winning games for Pakistan.
“I want to be consistent, and I want to win matches for Pakistan,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Salman is expected to be back in action soon as Pakistan will tour Bangladesh for two Test matches, which will be held in Mirpur and Sylhet from May 8 to 20.
