Former captain Rashid Latif believes that legendary batsman Younis Khan will remain the only player from Pakistan to score 10,000 Test runs.
Latif feels that no other player will be able to join Younis in that exclusive club or surpass his remarkable tally in the longest format.
The 48-year-old from Mardan amassed 10,099 runs in 118 Tests, which included 34 centuries and 33 fifties, at an average of 52.05.
“Younis Khan is Pakistan’s only player to score 10,000 Test runs, and I believe he will remain the only one with that record,” Latif was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently faced Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series in Mirpur, which they lost 2-1.
Many of the national players are now involved in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is being held in Karachi and Lahore.
