Former Pakistan batsman Yasir Hameed has lavished praise on T20I captain Salman Ali Agha, noting everyone says he is a “very good Test and ODI batsman”.

Salman has proved that time and time again, especially in Pakistan’s last Test assignment against South Africa, where he made 170 runs in two matches, which included a top score of 93, at an average of 42.50.

In his most recent ODI series, he amassed 175 runs in three matches against Bangladesh, which included a century and a fifty, at an average of 58.33.

While acknowledging Salman’s impressive performances in the longer formats, Hameed admitted that his dominance has not been as pronounced in T20Is.

“See if you talk about Salman Ali Agha’s potential, everyone says that he is a very good Test and ODI batsman, but in T20, he has to stretch his limits at times,” he told PakPassion.

Salman is now playing for the Karachi Kings in the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and has struck 56 runs in four matches at an average of 14 and a strike-rate of 130.23.
