Multan Sultans owner Ali Khan Tareen has praised Pakistan batsman Yasir Khan, calling him “one of the most aggressive openers in the country.”
Tareen really likes the way Yasir goes about his batting and expects the “super talented” cricketer to have a “big future ahead.”
His comments come after the 23-year-old scored his maiden first-class century in the ongoing season of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QeA Trophy).
Playing for Abbottabad Region, Yasir has made 451 runs in five matches, which includes a hundred and three fifties, at an average of 45.10.
“I love Yasir. He is a super talented, strong and hardworking player. He naturally scores quick and is one of the most aggressive openers in the country. Good against both spin and pace. Crosses the boundary with such ease,” Tareen said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“But [he] has trouble getting past the 30/40 run mark. Scoring big runs in red-ball cricket will be great for him. Big future ahead.”
The Pakistan team recently took on South Africa on home soil and began by drawing the two-Test series 1-1 before winning both the T20Is and ODIs 2-1.
They are now playing a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka and hold a 2-0 lead.
Once that concludes, Pakistan will feature in a T20I tri-series alongside Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 18 to 29.
