Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood believes there is no one better in the country at reverse swing than the pace duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hasan Ali.
Both bowlers have been around the national team for a long time and have enjoyed periods of prolific wicket-taking.
Recently, Afridi and Hasan featured in Pakistan’s two-Test series against South Africa, with the former taking five wickets at an average of 28.60.
Hasan only played the 1st Test in Lahore, but went wicketless.
“There is no one better than Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi in Pakistan at reverse swing,” Masood was quoted as saying by TOK Sports on X, formerly known as Twitter.
After the Test series, Afridi went on to take part in the three T20Is and claimed four wickets in two games at an average of 17.75 and an economy rate of 8.87.
He then made his debut as ODI captain in the three-match series against South Africa and picked up three wickets at an average of 38.
Afridi is now leading the men in green in three ODIs against Sri Lanka, but has gone wicketless so far. Despite this, his side hold an unassailable 2-0 lead.
Once the ODIs are done, Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in a T20I tri-series from November 18 to 29.
