Pakistan left-arm speedster Mohammad Amir believes the former pace trio of Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul and Sohail Tanvir should be added to the limited overs coaching set-up or serve in advisory roles.

He noted that all three of them possess a wealth of knowledge, which they can pass down to the bowlers in the squad right now.

Through this exchange of knowledge, Amir feels the current bowling attack can develop substantially and perform more effectively in matches.

“Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, and Sohail Tanvir should be used in white-ball cricket as they have great expertise,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Pakistan just finished playing a home series against South Africa, where they drew the Test series 1-1 and won the T20I and ODI series 2-1.

Their next assignment will be a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka from November 11 to 15.

Afterwards, Pakistan will take part in a T20I tri-series involving Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
