Wasim Jaffer: “Sufiyan Muqeem has also impressed”

Former India batsman Wasim Jaffer said Pakistan spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has been really impressive as of late.
Muqeem is starting to see more game time after making the most of the opportunities presented to him.
The 25-year-old was recently involved in Pakistan’s T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan, where he took four wickets in four games at an average of 27.75 and an economy rate of 8.02.
He followed that up with two wickets in two matches in the 2025 Asia Cup at an average of 18 and an economy rate of 6.17.
“Sufiyan Muqeem has also impressed,” Jaffer was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
The men in green reached the final of the Asia Cup, but failed to get past India as they ended up losing by five wickets.
Pakistan will now host South Africa for two Tests, three T20Is, and three ODIs, which will take place from October 12 to November 8.
