Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha: “If I get myself in, I know I can hit sixes against any spinner in the world”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha firmly believes he can “hit sixes against any spinner in the world” if he gets comfortable at the crease.
Salman has become a crucial member of the national team as he has brought some much-needed stability to the middle order.
Recently, he led the men in green in a T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in Sharjah.
Salman featured in five matches and scored 109 runs, which included a top score of 53 not out, at an average of 27.25 and a strike-rate of 118.47.
It should also be noted that he hit six sixes during the tri-series, which Pakistan won.
“If I get myself in, I know I can hit sixes against any spinner in the world,” the 31-year-old was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Salman is now captaining Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is taking place in the UAE.
The men in green beat Oman and the UAE in the group stage, but lost to India as well.
They suffered another defeat to their arch-rivals in the Super Four, but kept their campaign alive with a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka.
Pakistan’s next match will be against Bangladesh on September 25 in Dubai.
