Hasan Ali: “Babar Azam is our product and we are behind him… Babar is our best player, and he will make a comeback”

Pakistan pace bowler Hasan Ali insisted that batsman Babar Azam is the country’s best player and “will make a comeback” soon.
Azam has been working hard to end his struggles with the bat, which have been going on for numerous months.
The 30-year-old has found it hard to post big scores, but Hasan is confident people will see the Lahore native firing on all cylinders once again.
“Babar Azam is our product and we are behind him… Babar is our best player, and he will make a comeback,” Hasan was quoted as saying by Samaa TV.
Azam was recently left out of Pakistan’s squad for the three-match series against Bangladesh in Lahore, the tour of Bangladesh, and the three T20Is against the West Indies.
He did feature in the ODI series against the West Indies and amassed 56 runs in three games at an average of 18.66.
After the tour of the West Indies, Azam missed the T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan.
He also didn’t make the cut for the ongoing 2025 Asia Cup, which is being held in the UAE.
The men in green started their campaign with a 93-run win over Oman before suffering a seven-wicket loss against India.
Next up for them is a match against the UAE on September 17 in Dubai.
