Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz: “My role is to make an impact with both batting and bowling”

Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz is fully aware of his role in the national team, which is to have an impact with both the bat and ball.
Nawaz has done well since returning to international cricket as he is live up to the expectations set in place for him.
The 31-year-old recently travelled to Bangladesh with the Pakistan team and took three wickets in three T20Is at an average of 10.33 and an economy rate of 5.47.
He also made 30 runs at an average of 10 and a strike-rate of 136.36.
Afterwards, the men in green headed to the West Indies and Nawaz claimed seven wickets in three T20Is at an average of 10 and an economy rate of 6.36.
On top of that, he struck 11 runs at an average of 5.50 and a strike-rate of 78.57.
He also performed well in the three-match ODI series, snapping up three wickets in two games at an average of 25.66 and scoring 28 runs at an average of 28.
Most recently, Pakistan were involved in a three-match T20I series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in Sharjah, which they won.
Nawaz played in five matches and took 10 wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.70 and an economy rate of 6.88.
Batting-wise, he finished with 120 runs at an average of 30 and a strike-rate of 133.33.
“My role is to make an impact with both batting and bowling,” the Rawalpindi native was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan are now playing in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is taking place in the UAE.
The men in green started off with a 93-run win over Oman before losing to India by seven wickets.
Their next match will be against the UAE on September 17 in Dubai.
