Rashid Latif: “I will never appreciate the appointment of Salman Ali Agha as T20 captain no matter [if] the whole world supports his inclusion in [the] T20 squad of Pakistan”

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif has said he will “never appreciate the appointment of Salman Ali Agha” as T20I captain.
Latif doesn’t feel like Salman is the right man to be leading the T20I team, especially considering the men in green’s mixed results as of late.
The 56-year-old added that he will not change his opinion even if “the whole world supports” Salman.
“I will never appreciate the appointment of Salman Ali Agha as T20 captain no matter [if] the whole world supports his inclusion in [the] T20 squad of Pakistan,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Under Salman’s captaincy, Pakistan whitewashed Bangladesh 3-0 in a T20I series in Lahore.
However, when the men in green toured Bangladesh for three T20Is, they ended up being beaten 2-1.
As for their tour of the West Indies, Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1.
They then proceeded to beat the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in a T20I tri-series in Sharjah.
Pakistan are now involved in the 2025 Asia Cup, which is being played in the UAE.
