Pakistan batting all-rounder Khushdil Shah admitted that he always feels happy whenever he gets Babar Azam out.
Khushdil’s comments come after he dismissed Azam during the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) when he was playing for the Karachi Kings and Azam was captaining the Peshawar Zalmi.
Khushdil admitted that getting Azam’s wicket was a big deal as the 30-year-old is the Zalmi’s “main batter”.
“Babar is their main batter, always happy to get him out,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Khushdil ended PSL 10 with 253 runs in 11 matches, which included a top score of 60, at an average of 36.14 and a strike-rate of 156.17.
The 30-year-old also took seven wickets at an average of 34.85 and an economy rate of 9.03.
As for Azam, he amassed 288 runs in 10 games, which included three fifties, at an average of 36 and a strike-rate of 128.57.
Following the PSL, Pakistan played a three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore before embarking on a tour of Bangladesh that consisted of three T20Is.
They then travelled to the West Indies for a white-ball series that comprised three T20Is and three ODIs.
Most recently, Pakistan took on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in a T20I tri-series in Sharjah, which they won.
