Pakistan batsman Khawaja Nafay is determined to make his international debut soon and help the national team succeed in all three formats.
Nafay was recently involved in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) skill development camp, which he found extremely useful as the coaches there “guided us to prepare well and train hard for upcoming challenges”.
Should he get the chance to represent his country, the 23-year-old made it clear that he will stick to his natural game as it has brought him a lot of success thus far.
“My target is to contribute to Pakistan’s success in all formats while sticking to my natural game, and the coaches have guided us to prepare well and train hard for upcoming challenges,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Recently, Nafay featured in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and amassed 52 runs in two matches for the Quetta Gladiators, which included a top score of 51, at an average of 26 and a strike-rate of 173.33.
Following this, he was not picked for Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore, the T20I tour of Bangladesh, and the white-ball tour of the West Indies.
Pakistan are now involved in a T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in Sharjah, which will conclude on September 7.
Afterwards, the men in green will participate in the 2025 Asia Cup, which will be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28.
