Senior Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad believes the “sky is the limit” for big-hitter Sahibzada Farhan as he has been putting up strong performance for quite some time.
Shehzad admitted it is very satisfying to see the 29-year-old make the most of the opportunities coming his way and hopes he keeps dominating like he has.
If Farhan keeps posting big scores on a regular basis, Shehzad knows that he can achieve great things at the international level.
“So happy to [see] Sahibzada Farhan getting the opportunity for Pakistan & he making it count. Fantastic start for him… What a player. Sky is the limit,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Farhan recently represented Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and was the highest run-scorer with 449 runs in 12 matches, which included a century and three fifties, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
After PSL 10, the Charsadda native continued to impress for Pakistan as he amassed 75 runs in two T20Is against Bangladesh, which included a career-best knock of 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Pakistan then toured Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series and Farhan blasted 63 runs in the one match he played.
The men in green are now touring the West Indies and began their campaign with a 2-1 win in the T20I series.
Farhan played a role in the team’s victory, scoring 91 runs, which included a top score of 74, at an average of 30.33 and a strike-rate of 126.38.
He was not picked for the three-match ODI series, which began on August 9 in Trinidad.
