Pakistan T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan has lauded big-hitting batsman Sahibzada Farhan for his recent performances, calling them “a real positive”.
Shadab played alongside Farhan while captaining Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and therefore got a firsthand view as the 29-year-old dominated with the bat throughout the tournament and finished as the highest run-scorer with 449 runs in 12 games, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
Following PSL 10, Farhan continued to wreak havoc in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore as he smashed 75 runs in two games, which included a career-best knock of 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
His red-hot form continued during Pakistan’s tour of Bangladesh as he hammered 63 runs in the one T20I he played.
“Sahibzada’s performances have been a real positive,” Shadab was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan are now touring the West Indies for three T20Is and three ODIs.
In the T20I series, Farhan amassed 91 runs, which included a top score of 74, at an average of 30.33 and a strike-rate of 126.38.
Pakistan won the T20I series 2-1.
