Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali is tired of making comebacks and being dropped after one match or series, and is therefore determined to keep hold of his spot in the team for a long time.
Hasan returned to the national team after a string of stellar performances in domestic cricket and the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches for the Karachi Kings at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.
Following PSL 10, the 31-year-old featured in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore and took eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.
He then missed the tour of Bangladesh, where Pakistan lost the T20I series 2-1, as he was playing for the Birmingham Bears in the Vitality Blast.
Hasan is poised to make his comeback after being picked for Pakistan’s upcoming tour of the West Indies, which will consist of three T20Is and three ODIs that will be played from August 1 to 12.
Knowing he has another chance to impress at the international level, the Gujranwala native is ready to make the most of the opportunity.
“I have a goal – I want to make a comeback to the Pakistan team and play for Pakistan consistently, because whenever I made a comeback in the past, it was only for one match or one series,” he told Geo News.

Hasan Ali really deserves a consistent run this time. His PSL performance and that five-wicket haul against Bangladesh show he still has what it takes. Let’s hope he finally gets the backing he needs in the West Indies series.
Yeah definitely. He proved himself during the PSL and T20 series against Bangladesh. Now, it’s time for him to lead from the front in the West Indies, especially as a senior bowler.
