Inzamam-ul-Haq: “His temperament stood out – that’s a key quality in T20 cricket. Things can get delayed at times, but Maaz got his opportunity at the right moment – and he made the most of it”

Legendary Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq said temperament is a key quality in T20 cricket and believes rising star Maaz Sadaqat has got it.
His comments come after the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where Sadaqat played for the Peshawar Zalmi and he served as the franchise’s team director.
In the four matches he played in PSL 10, the 20-year-old struck 78 runs, which included a top score of 55, at an average of 39 and a strike-rate of 165.95.
“His temperament stood out – that’s a key quality in T20 cricket. Things can get delayed at times, but Maaz got his opportunity at the right moment – and he made the most of it,” Inzamam was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Following PSL 10, Sadaqat was not picked for Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Lahore, which the men in green won 3-0.
The 20-year-old also wasn’t selected for the tour of Bangladesh, where Pakistan lost the T20I series 2-1.
Next up for Pakistan will be a limited overs tour of the West Indies, where they will play three T20Is and three ODIs from August 1 to 12.
Sadaqat once again missed out on selection.
