Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf: “I am working on improving my bowling speed… I am focusing on my mistakes and thinking about where the gaps are so I can improve myself”

Pakistan pace demon Haris Rauf has revealed that he is working on increasing his bowling speed, even though he is already among the country’s fastest bowlers.
Rauf has been clocked at speeds of 155 kph in the past, but has plans to ramp up his pace in the future.
On top of bowling quicker, the 31-year-old from Rawalpindi aims to rectify the mistakes he has been making in order to be even more effective when he has the ball in his hand.
“I am working on improving my bowling speed… I am focusing on my mistakes and thinking about where the gaps are so I can improve myself,” he told Cricket Pakistan.
Recently, Rauf represented the Lahore Qalandars in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and finished as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 13 matches at an average of 25.70 and an economy rate of 10.28.
Following PSL 10, he represented the men in green in their three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and picked up one wicket in two games at an average of 59 and an economy rate of 11.80.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a tour of Bangladesh, which will consist of three T20Is that will be played in Mirpur from July 20 to 24.
