Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha admitted it is “impossible to ignore” power-hitter Sahibzada Farhan for selection as he is “playing cricket of a different class altogether”.
Farhan has been a one-man wrecking ball in domestic cricket as he was the highest run-scorer in the National T20 Cup with 605 runs in seven matches for Peshawar Region, which included three centuries and two fifties, at an incredible average of 121 and a strike-rate of 189.65.
He continued to pile on the runs in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he represented Islamabad United and finished as the top run-scorer.
The 29-year-old from Charsadda accumulated 449 runs in 12 matches, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
“Sahibzada Farhan is playing cricket of a different class altogether, the way he’s dominating attacks with such consistency makes him impossible to ignore for national team selection,” Salman told Geo News.
After PSL 10, Farhan got the opportunity to play in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh and didn’t disappoint as he scored 75 runs in two games, which included a career-best 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
The men in green won the series 3-0.
